Space Environment Information System (SPENVIS) SPENVIS is an operational space weather tool of the European Space Agency (ESA), developed and maintained by BIRA-IASB.
Consisting of a web interface, it is used by engineers in defining space missions and designing space instruments. It allows an initial analysis of problems associated with the space environment and its effects. SPENVIS is used every month by 400 users not only from Europe, but also from the USA, China and other countries. The ease of use of its interface and the quality of its documentation mean that SPENVIS is also used as a teaching tool by a number of universities.
