Data centre for mission control rooms
In mission control rooms in space control centres very large volumes of data are obtained from heterogeneous sources, including structured and unstructured data.
The B.USOC is involved in CUBIST, that will provide online support for taking better decisions, reveal hitherto undiscovered information and provide supportive evidence in debriefing and decision making processes related to the organisation of space control centre operations. CUBIST is an EU funded research project.
Archiving and processing data centre for an international network of 50 CubeSats
QB50, an international network of 50 CubeSats for multi-point, in-situ measurements in the lower thermosphere and re-entry research
QB50 has the scientific objective to study in situ the temporal and spatial variations of a number of key constituents and parameters in the lower thermosphere (90-320 km) with a network of 50 double CubeSats, separated by a few hundred kilometres and carrying identical sensors.
The B.USOC is preparing an Archiving and processing Data centre.
Data centre in the frame of STCE activities
To sustain STCE activities, a data centre is developed.
Building that datacenter will be a matter of acquiring equipment, connecting this equipments to existing infrastructure and networks.
The centre is being realised in a close collaboration between the B.USOC (datacenter sub-project leader) and the IT services of the STCE.
