The increasing number of PhD students within BIRA-IASB brings with it a rejuvenation of the population, limited to contractual staff.

At BIRA-IASB, we want to promote awareness of diversity and encourage measures to make all of us feel comfortable with and respectful of diversity of all kinds.

BIRA-IASB is proud of its international recognition and working environment. The countries of birth of the institute’s staff give a good indication of the diversity.

The Institute has continued to grow to a total of 172 employees. Especially the number of PhD candidates increased significantly.

The workforce within BIRA-IASB consists of 85% levels A and SW (master level or higher).

The percentage of contractual personnel is slightly rising, especially among scientists.
